Malakal, South Sudan | December 8 – December 28, 2025 / Issue#13
Overview
Between 8 and 28 December, 228 entries were received. Humanitarian assistance was the dominant sector, followed by Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL). For FSL, some reports suggest food distribution was delayed, resulting in household-level hardship towards the end of the month. Other reports suggest difficulties faced by women and elderly people to access distribution sites. Some reports suggested to WFP to conduct a more regular market analysis to determine fair cash distributions, as cash distributions have inflated market prices. Another suggestion is to alternate cash and in-kind support.
In addition to these complaints and suggestions, appreciation was shared for services extended. In particular, people praised organisations who distributed food items upon arrival. WFP was praised for their cash distribution. Solidarités International was praised for their ongoing cleaning of latrines in the Transit Centre. IMC and World Vision were praised for their distribution of non-food items (NFIs).
