The Voices on the Move is a humanitarian project by Jamjang 89.4 FM, a radio station in Ajuong Thok refugee camp, Pariang County, Ruweng Administrative Area (RAA). It helps create a safe information environment and works with protection experts to address information-related risks for vulnerable communities. The project builds trust in information from response actors and identifies harmful content like misinformation and hate speech. Jamjang 89.4 FM, managed by the Community Engagement Network, an Internews partner under the BPRM-funded project, broadcasts 13 hours daily, reaching a 70-kilometer radius and serving over 130,000 Sudanese refugees and a local population of approximately the same size in Yida, Ajuong Thok, and Jamjang. The project has established safe, accessible, and life-saving information services to mitigate various risks and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of humanitarian response services for refugees, returnees, and host communities.
